IS BUYING IRON ON A SATURDAY OFFENDING LORD SANI?

22/12/2010

The story goes like this. Once Rahu & Ketu put forward a question in front of all the other 7 planetary gods.  The question was "WHO IS THE MOST POWERFUL PLANETARY GOD AMONG US?"  They couldn't decide, so they went to Lord INDRAN, who is the king of the gods, to get the answer.  Fearing he may be biased, he referred them to King VIKRAMADITYA, a king who was famous for his wisdom.

Vikramaditya, after a great thought, got SEVEN seats spread out, the first being Gold and the last being Iron.  He then, requested the 7 planetary Gods to take their seats.  Lord Surya (SUN) selected the Gold Chair while Lord Sani (SATURN) selected the Iron Chair.  Vikramaditya, then said, "Now, according to the order of your throne (chair), you can decide your own rank."

Hearing to this, Lord Sani stood up and said to Vikramaditya, "You ranked me the LOWEST among these gods.....YOU DON'T KNOW MY POWER!!!!"  Of course, these clearly rattled Vikramaditya.

Later, when King Vikramaditya went through the SANI DASHA, Sani disguised as a horse seller and went to Vikramaditya's kingdom to impress upon Vikramaditya the beautiful horses the horse seller have for sale.  The king fell to the trap and bought the best horse.

When Vikramaditya was riding the horse, the horse suddenly disappeared, and the poor king was thrown far away and left alone in the thick forest. It was discovered later that the king, not only, lost his kingdom but also lost both his hands & feet.....what a poor king!

In other words, he faced the worst situation in his life.  But, the best part of this is, King Vikramaditya faced all the adversities in the most virtuous manner.......not like many others who just cannot take adversities in their stride.  Vikramaditya also accepted his mistake....wOw!

Lord Sani is also known as NEEDHIMAN (JUDGE). He forgave Vikramaditya..... It is for this reason, some people have concluded that buying Iron on a Saturday, the day of Sani, is not good judging by the fate of Vikramaditya offending Lord Sani.

In Astrology, it is only at the last BUKHTI of Sani, i.e. Jupiter, one would somehow realise his/her mistake.  It is at this point, the "U-Curve" takes place for the better.  That's why there's a saying that says, "Sani poaghum poathu, he-will-give-and-go".

Being a Needhiman, he only troubles the person during his Maha Dasha/ 2 and half (Asthama Sani)/7 and half (every one know this, ok) for the wrong doings. One need to know that, if a person is RIGHTEOUS, DEVOTED & DISCIPLINED, one is sure to come out of this period without any ill-effects.

For all those persons who are going through the Asthama Sani period w.e.f. Sept 2009 till mid 2012, i.e. AVITTAM PAAGAM 3 & 4, SATHAYAM, PORATHAADHI PAAGAM 1,2 & 3, AND ALSO, for those who are going through 7 & half Sani, i.e. MAGHAM, POORAM, UTTHIRAM, HASTAM, CHITHIRAI, SWATI, VISHAKAM PAAGAM 1,2 & 3, please be RIGHTEOUS, DEVOTED AND DISCIPLINED!

TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR YOUR WRONG ACTIONS, SELF ANALYSIS & HARD-WORK are also the practical REMEDIES for APPEASING LORD SATURN.

Be guided.

THE BATTLE OF THE ASURAS AND THE DEVAS

15/12/2010
THE BATTLE OF THE ASURAS AND THE DEVAS, BUT LORD SHUKHRA & LORD BRIHASPATI'S CHILDERN WERE BOTH IN LOVE
Lord Shukra was born to Lord Rishi Bhrigu, a divine sage who wrote about Astrology. Lord Venus or Shukra, is the teacher/guru of the ASURAS.
Lord Jupiter was born to Lord Angiras, a divine sage who wrote about Astronomy.  Lord Jupiter or Brihaspati, is the teacher/guru of the DEVAS.
The story goes like this.
ASURAS, who are the demonic aspect of the divine, were locked in an eternal battle with the DEVAS. The Asuras were wining all the time because their Guruji, Shukra knows the MANTRA of IMMORTALITY to raise the death. When someone from the Asura camp dies, Shukra would resurrect the death by reciting the mantra of immortality.  Of courselah, the Devas felt cheated.
Between this eternal battle, Brihaspati's son by the name KACA and Shukra's daughter by the name DEVAYANI (not that one from the movie..ah) were already madly in LOVE. It reminds me of the movie ANNAMALAI where Rajni kanth's daughter throw stone to break the "Kaca" of Sarath Babu son's car....and felt in love when, the irony was, both the parents were fighting dogs and cats!!!...haha.
This love relationship made the other Asuras very unhappy, because they thought Kaca was sent as a TROJAN HORSE by Brihaspati.  So, they decided to kill Kaca.....poor kaca!
Devayani, of course, grieves for him and pleaded with Shukra.  Shukra, shouted "ahhh...vvooooh" at first, finally relenting to her, repeated the mantra of imortality and kaca came back to life!
Undeterred, the demons go about killing kaca "again"and Shuka keeps "resurrecting" him. This was going on and on.
So, the demons get a particular demonic idea and this time they kill Kaca and GRINDED him up into a fine POWDER and put him in Shukra's wine.
When Devayani begins her grieving, Shukra repeats the mantra, but this time he had a stomach-ache as Kaca speaks from inside him.
Finally, for Devayani's sake, Shukra reveals the mantra of imortality to Kaca with one condition that says, when Kaca tears himself out of Shukra's body, Kaca should raise Shukra from the dead!
That's the reason when one is connected to spirituality, as per the Bhrig lineage, one would not drink alcohol.  It's also a known fact that when one's Venus is afflicted in one's astrological chart, one would be prone to have stomach problems too.
It was also mentioned that Lord Shiva "swallowed Shukra" to keep Shukra away from resurrecting the death.  And Shukra offered penance to Lord Shiva, & later the great "karunaikaarar" Shiva gave Shukra the Deva-ship.

"EGOISTIC" ALEXANDER THE GREAT WAS HUMBLED BY AN UNKNOWN PARATHESI (VAGABOND)

6/12/2010

This is based on a true story.  When Alexander the Great went to India as part  of his expansionary mission, he was very  astonished to see  so many fragile looking bearded men without proper clothes (like the "NAAN KADAVUL" types) in a particular location.

He commissioned his men and gave them an order to bring any parathesi, they see in that street, to the palace with a view to "convert" that parathesi ; it would be a fun thing to "crop" his hair, to wear the English suit, and probably to teach him the English PROTOCOLS & MANNERISM.  It would definitely be amusing to see a "naan kadavul" personality in a modern outfit eating with a fork, knife and a spoon, as they imagined. Can you imagine that?  Haha.....

His men went straight to the street "to pick up" one.  To their surprise, there were hardly one to be seen.  So the search began and it brought them to the outer street where one parathesi was having his bath in the nearby river to cool himself from the scorching heat.

"Hey, you? it's our King's order to bring you to the palace, understand?" said the local soldier.  The parathesi "couldn't give two hoots" to that soldier and continued with his bath. He would have thought "NEE YENNA PERIA PARUPPA?"

Embarrassed by that non-response, the soldier quickly took out his sword and pointed straight to the face of the parathesi and told, "You again, do you know what is the punishment if you disobey His Highness, Alexander the Great's command?"  He continued firmly, "You would be beheaded, understand?"

This time the parathesi responded with a smile, "Go and get your king to SEE ME HERE if he's so interested to see me." Seeing that he cannot convince him further, the soldier returned back to the palace and told what exactly the parathesi remarked to King Alexander, who became very furious upon hearing such.

The King immediately rode his horse to the place of the parathesi.  Seeing the parathesi taking a nap at the river bank, this made the king's face even red....LOBSTER-RED!  He rudely shouted at the sleeping parathesi to wake up and face him.  "REPEAT WHAT DID YOU SAID TO MY SOLDIER.....I say NOW!!" with a thundering voice, befitting a king's command.

The parathesi replied back, "So, you are the king that your soldier is talking about!".  He continued, with a laugh, and said "I too wanted to see my head rolled to the ground, as much as you wanted to see that......so, please behead me!......I'm waiting to see my head rolling on the ground too" he was seen begging the king, who has by this time taken out his sword.

It's a known fact that if King Alexander takes out his sword, it means, "sure potong".

Alexander the Great was speechless and stunned  with that remark.  How can a hero fight a man who has surrendered? The vagabond was standing right in front of the king waiting for his head to role to the ground.  And the king is just standing there motionless.

Finally, the king surprisingly bowed to the parathesi and returned back to the palace with full of regrets...wOw!

It is also said that when Alexander died, many years later, his hands were wide open to  signify his humbleness. The parathesi taught Alexander the Great to eat his own humble pie...kau...kau!!  The greater ones should not attack the weaker ones....that's not heroism.

Moral of the story?  Learn to take away our egos. This world would, then, be a better place to live!
